Meet the Team

We’re the misfits, makers, and mildly obsessed beer nerds behind Firkin Brewery. From scrubbing floors to slinging cans, brewing triple-fruited sours to debating hop combos like they’re fine art—we do it all with a pint in hand and a grin on our face. No corporate jargon, no shiny suits. Just a crew of humans who love good beer and bad jokes.

Each of us brings something to the table (usually snacks), whether it’s Didier’s reggae-fueled brewing rhythm, Elliott’s “let’s mess about and find out” mantra, or Dan’s heroic toastie consumption. Scroll down, meet the legends, and remember: behind every great pint is someone who probably smells like malt.

Didier Autard

Founder & CEO

Didier brings a touch of continental flair to Firkin Brewery, having spent years honing his palate and precision in the world of craft beer. Whether he's fine-tuning fermentation or troubleshooting tanks with the calm of a seasoned pro, Didier’s attention to detail keeps the brewhouse humming. He’s the kind of guy who can spot a rogue hop from across the room and still have time to debate the merits of a well-poured saison.

When he’s not elbow-deep in stainless steel, Didier’s probably vibing to classic reggae beats, letting the rhythms of Marley, Tosh, and Burning Spear guide his brewing flow. His playlists are legendary—equal parts chill and soulful—and there’s a good chance the brewhouse has caught a groove or two from the speakers. Ask him about his favourite dub tracks and you’ll get a passionate lecture that somehow loops back to hop profiles and fermentation curves. It’s all part of the harmony.

Elliott Brown

Head Brewer

Starting his career at Hammerton Brewery and a few years later at Brew By Numbers, Elliott has been immersed in the production of award winning beers; ranging from pale ales to pastry stouts, lagers to triple fruited sours. Elliott has been with us since almost the beginning and continues to innovate production and quality; he lives by the mantra of “lets fuck about and find out”.

Elliott has a hand in most sides of the business, even getting out there on the road to talk to customers and sling cans to anyone that will take them.

When he isn’t brewing, he usually undertakes what he likes to call “quality control”, playing golf, failing miserably at trying to catch fish or staring at his lawn.

Dan Hart

Assistant Brewer

Dan is starting his foray into brewing here at Firkin Brewery, looking after packaging, fermentation and all things cleaning; boy does this lad know how to scrub a floor! He is also the face of the brand when out delivering to our accounts come rain or shine.

When he isn’t being an all-round legend, he’s playing 5-a-side football for Murder on Zidane's Floor, travelling to the far reaches of London and eating three ham and cheese toasties a day.
